Our Origin

 

Profit Isle started as a consulting company using the analytic methodology created by MIT’s Dr. Jonathan Byrnes, who has taught at MIT for more than 30 years. We developed an effective software solution for our clients that incorporated the insights from this approach, leveraging machine learning. As such, we evolved into a leading cloud-based software company to provide a scalable, configurable solution without the need to hire a team of MIT trained data scientists.  

The profit visibility to every transaction is the fundamental idea guiding Profit Isle Solutions. Today’s business environment favors customized or configurable transactions for each client and sale. In order to operate their firm properly, managers need to have profit resolution at this level. We design the tools individuals need to succeed in this era of company digital transformation because we recognize that people and their data-driven decisions are what generate gains in profit.

Our Founders

Jonathan Byrnes

Co-Founder and Chairman

Over 30 years of experience in profit generation, having advised major companies and industry associations through large-scale renewing change, operations and supply chain reorganization, major account management and coordination, and strategic repositioning.

Jonathan is a Senior Lecturer at MIT and has authored over two hundred books, articles, cases, notes, and expert submissions, including the award-winning book, Islands of Profit in a Sea of Red Ink and most recently, Choose Your Customer: How to Compete Against the Digital Giants and Thrive

John Wass

Co-Founder and CEO

More than 35 years experience in profitability, marketing, and global logistics. Previously Co-Founder and CEO of Wavemark, acquired by Cardinal Health. Former SVP of Staples and helped grow from 3 to over 1,000 stores.

John holds a Masters in Logistics from MIT and a B.S. in Engineering from Princeton University. Author of the book Choose Your Customer: How to Compete Against the Digital Giants and Thrive, as well as numerous articles for the Harvard Business Review.

Hady Latouf

CTO

More than 20 years of experience in software engineering, IoT and SaaS. Passionate about building technology that provides efficient solutions to complex problems. 

Hady holds a B.S. in Computer Software Engineering and an M.S. in Industrial Engineering from  CNAM Paris, as well as a MicroMasters in Statistics and Data Science from MIT. 

JP Farley

VP Project Management

With over 15 years of experience leading teams that deliver optimal value to customers through focused, prioritized product strategies and cultivating strong customer relationships. 

JP holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Union College, as well as an MBA from Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business.  

Tyson King

VP Sales

Over 20 years of experience in Enterprise Sales Management, building sales teams for both Fortune 500 Companies and startups that with successful exits.   

Tyson holds a BSEE from Michigan State University and studied with the University of Kaiserslautern.

A leader in supply chain strategy and operational improvement, her career has included major consulting engagements for Fortune 500 and public sector clients including: Microsoft, Starbucks, Clorox, ConAgra Foods, Kaiser Permanente, Staples, Avon, Dean Foods, and State of California. Proven track record for delivering tangible results and securing high client satisfaction. Graduate of Bowdoin College and Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management.

Former Executive Vice President at a large commercial construction firm who led multiple business units, department turnarounds, strategic planning, and organizational improvement practices. He is an active board and community leader helping diverse organizations drive strategy, implement change initiatives, and manage profitable growth.
